General H. Norman Schwarzkopf was born on August 22, 1934 In a the city of Trenton NJ. His father , Norman Schwarzkopf SR. , was head of the police department. He helped in the Lindberg kidnapping. Norman is one of three children the Schwarzkops have. He has two older sisters.

His father was sent to Iran. His father decided Norman needed to attend a military school. Norman was sent to  Bordentown Military Academy. Norman attended West Point Military academy years later. General Schwarzkopf earned a Masters Degree in Rocket Engineering from University of Southern California. Norman graduated West Point , He was then commissioned to the US Army. He was a Second Lieutenant with the 101st  Airborne infantry division. General Schwarzkopf attended numerous tours in Vietnam. He was also known as a hear to many while he was in Vietnam. Norman saved a whole unit , who which wandered off into an active minefield. Norman lost two men during that , but saved more. By this time he received the rank of Captain. He got word he would be returning to West Point to become a teacher.

Normans teaching days.

Norman taught mechanics at West Point for two years. General Schwarzkopf opinion on Vietnam was not the same as his sisters. His sister once got in an argument with him about the war before. They both made up in the end but he then changed his opinions slightly. Norman was a jumpmaster at Fort Benning GA. He taught soldiers tactics on jumping out of aircraft , and being able to keep accurate shots. Norman then worked in the Pentagon. He did numerous jobs , most of which were paper pushing jobs.
